    From local and state issues to federal policies, legislative action shapes our economic climate and impacts how we conduct business every day. U.S. Chamber Vice President and Managing Director of Regional Government Affairs Moore Hallmark will join Metro Atlanta Chamber Senior Vice President of Public Policy & Talent Dave Williams to discuss those policies and actions being considered by elected leaders during the 2023 general session.

    Moore Hallmark, U.S. Chamber of Commerce
    Moore Hallmark is Vice President and Managing Director of Regional Government Affairs for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Hallmark manages the Chamber’s seven regional offices that are responsible for legislative and political grassroots strategy in all 50 states. He also manages the Chamber’s Southeastern Region. The mission of the U.S. Chamber’s Regional Offices is to develop and maintain each region’s legislative, political, and grassroots resources to achieve the Chamber’s public policy goals. Hallmark leads the Chamber’s efforts to strengthen its regional operations and relationships with member businesses, associations, and chambers of commerce. Before joining the Chamber, Hallmark was Governmental Affairs director for the Associated Builders and Contractors of Georgia, where he served as the association’s chief lobbyist. In addition, he was governmental affairs director for the Community Bankers Association of Georgia, district legislative director for Congressman Bob Barr (R-GA), and senior district director for the Atlanta Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. Hallmark has a Political Science degree from the University of Mississippi and a Public Relations degree from the University of North Alabama. 

    Dave Williams, Metro Atlanta Chamber
    Dave Williams joined the Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC) in January 2011 and serves as Senior Vice President, Public Policy & Talent. He works closely with business leaders and state legislators, advancing policies to improve Atlanta’s quality of life and business climate. Specific policy areas include transportation/transit, water, air quality and talent. He also leads MAC’s government affairs activities at the local, state and federal levels, and manages MAC PAC, which supports pro-business candidates for state office. 
    Williams has an extensive track record of civic leadership. He was elected Mayor of the City of Suwanee (2007-11) and to Suwanee’s City Council (1998-2001). He served as president of the Gwinnett Municipal Association (2009) and Treasurer of the Atlanta Regional Commission during his board service there from 2002-07. 
    Williams is a graduate of Leadership Gwinnett (2000), Leadership Atlanta (2022), Regional Leadership Institute (2011), and IGEL: Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership (2016). 
    A metro Atlanta resident since 1973 and fellow Gwinnettian residing in Suwanee, Williams graduated from Georgia Tech in 1989 with a degree in Management.
