Description of Presentation:

We will discuss the importance of having key security measures in place, what to do if you experience violence in the workplace and solutions for a safer environment.

Speaker(s): Gwinnett County Police Officer A. Wilson

Speaker Bio:

Master Patrol Officer Ashley M. Wilson currently serves as Crime Prevention/Community Relations Officer with the Gwinnett County Police Department. With nearly 10 years of service in law enforcement, both in Gwinnett and Washington D.C., Ashley’s commitment and passion for the community is second to none. She regularly speaks to a wide range of citizens from the youngest who learn about 911 to the oldest who learn fraud and scam awareness. She is committed to keeping the community safe and is a certified Child Passenger Seat Technician and women’s self-defense instructor. In the police department she also serves as a member of the Honor Guard and part time Public Information Officer.

Ashley is a graduate of Texas A&M University - College Station where she received her bachelor’s degree in international Relations and Russian with a minor in economics. After graduation, she worked in international affairs for the federal government before leaving her position to become a police officer and follow her passion for helping others. Ashley moved to Georgia in 2016 after her husband, Andrew, retired from the Unites States Marine Corps. The currently live in Snellville with their three dogs, Reilly, Bailey and Gracie.
