Join Heather for a discussion on how to approach current events with self-awareness and intention. Practical steps will be discussed on how to examine what changes you can make to create priorities in your life that cultivate meaning, purpose, and authentic connection.

About our Speaker

Heather is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor in Atlanta, GA. With experience working within the refugee community and internationally, she values cross-cultural competence and social justice. She currently works out of the Heal ATL office in Brookhaven, GA. She focuses on chronic illness, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, women’s issues, multicultural clients, and acculturation. Heather offers individual, family, and couples’ therapy.

Heather incorporates a variety of disciplines in her therapeutic approach, with a focus on balance. First, balancing her professional expertise with the client’s intimate knowledge of themselves to make therapy uniquely effective for the individual. Heather takes into consideration past events and relationships, while also bringing attention to the present moment. Practical steps are combined with a sensitive exploration of emotions and spirituality.

Lastly, Heather focuses on how the body, mind, and emotions, are interconnected. The effects of trauma transcend the mind and heart, which is why Heather also incorporates wellness for chronic physical and emotional illness. Heather loves a good face mask and spoiling her dogs in her free time.

Gwinnett Leadership Organization for Women Webinar Series

The Glow webinar series will focus on different mental health and self-care topics. Each webinar will be 30 minutes and feature therapists, doctors, psychiatrists, life coaches, and health coaches. This webinar series is a place for women to feel heard, appreciated, and learn new strategies to cope with the many changes in their lives.
