Event Details

Following the Gwinnett Chamber’s Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Summit, young professionals are invited to continue the conversation about diversity, equity, and inclusion with GYP at Curiosity Lab in Peachtree Corners on May 26th from 10-12pm. This event will feature a panel of seasoned professionals in the DE&I space in addition to an open Q&A.

Who's invited? All young professionals between the ages of 21-35 who either live, work, or play in Gwinnett County are invited to attend.

Will food and beverage be provided? Yes, an assortment of pastries, fruit, and juice will be provided, along with refreshing cocktails provided by Cloudland Vineyards + Winery.

Meet Our Moderator

Kevin Jones | Branch Manager, GBC (Georgia Banking Company)

Kevin has been a banker in Gwinnett since 2014. He currently serves as the branch manager of GBC's Lawrenceville location that opened in December 2021. His specialty includes business development, connecting with the community, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. With a keen ability to build rapport with his customers, he continues to grow customer relationships based on trust and understanding their unique needs. In 2021, Kevin was recognized as one of the "Top 35 Under 35 for Gwinnett Young Professionals" by the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce. Kevin attended Georgia State. He and his wife Ashleigh alongside their adorable dog Burce live in Flowery branch. They attend 12Stone Church, love to visit Disney, and root for the Steelers whenever they are playing on Sundays!

Berthine Crèvecoeur West | CEO, Westbridge Solutions

Berthine Crèvecoeur West (ber-TEEN KREH-vah-kor west) is Learning & Development Subject Matter Expert and Conflict Resolution Strategist, Executive Advisor, Corporate Trainer, Award-Nominated Podcast Host and Best-Selling Author. Berthine obtained both her Bachelor of Arts degree (Government & Politics), as well as her Master of Arts degree (Government & Politics/International Relations) from St. John's University in Jamaica, NY and her Executive MBA from Quantic School of Business & Technology. Berthine established Westbridge Solutions, a boutique management consulting firm, in 2014. She has facilitated trainings and seminars throughout North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Berthine's goal is to help individuals and teams work together more productively by focusing on managing diversity, soft skills training and understanding behavioral styles to deliver outstanding client service.

Dr. Brittany McLemore | Community Engagement and Outreach Specialist, Impact46

Dr. Brittany McLemore was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY where she attended public school and developed her passion for education and giving back to underprivileged communities from which she came. She is currently the Community Engagement and Outreach Specialist for Impact46, a nonprofit in Lawrenceville, GA dedicated to connecting community members to the resources they need. Her role includes, serving youth in schools, developing and implementing workforce development initiatives, DEI & civic engagement trainings, and keeping community members engaged and abreast on current events, issues, and resources in their communities. Dr. McLemore developed her work and skills when she received her Ed.D. in Organizational Learning, Leadership, and Innovation from Wilmington University. She was not only able to dive deeper into an understanding of educational and workplace issues and disparities, but work to cultivate unique solutions to combat them, develop and carryout training curriculums, and become a motivational speaker and leadership expert.

Leri Argueta | Georgia Institute of Technology

Leri Argueta is the Senior Assistant Director for Diversity Initiatives at the Georgia institute of Technology, where he implements diversity initiatives for the Office of Undergraduate Admission. He graduated from the University of West Georgia with a bachelor's in International Economic Affairs and a Masters in Public Administration focused on Educational Leadership. Leri has spent the last 7 years in the non-profit and higher education sectors assisting first-generation and underrepresented students in the State of Georgia. Leri is the son of immigrant parents from El Salvador and is passionate about education, equity, and policy. He is a proud #girldad of two and in his spare time he enjoys kayaking and boxing.

Lina Teitelbaum | ED+I Coordinator, Tripadvisor

Lina Teitelbaum (she/her/ella) is a passionate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion advocate. In her role at Tripadvisor Media Group, she works with various teams across the organization. She works to insure they are championing the diverse identities, abilities, experiences, and voices of their employees, travelers, candidates, business partners, and industry peers. Before her career in ED+I, Lina planned and initiated numerous high-profile events in the metro Atlanta nonprofit sector. One of Lina’s key strengths is developing relationships with people of all walks of life. She understands that by bringing together the unique talents of others, people can thrive within an everchanging world requiring collaboration. Lina enjoys traveling, hiking, gardening, and cooking with her husband Jeff and baby boy Mateo.

About Gwinnett Young Professionals:

Established in 2015, Gwinnett Young Professionals (GYP) is a personal and professional development program led by the Gwinnett Chamber that seeks to champion young professionals through various community, professional, and social opportunities. GYP is designed for individuals, ages 21 to 35, who are living and/or working in Gwinnett. There are no membership fees/dues to participate.
