I love this practice! Everyone that I encounter is so nice and my doctor is amazing! I've been going here for the past two years, so far I'm love the way my teeth are coming out, still working on them though.
YES, wear a mask :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Stephanie F.Portland, OR1216Jun 30, 2023
I'll start this off with saying that I did not end up moving forward with GSO. However I wanted to share my experience from my two visits...that should have only been one.
First off, the 3 stars is all due to Vladimir. Not sure his title, but I had used car salesman vibes from him. He also kept commenting on my looks and when I called him out on it, he said he was just trying to make me feel comfortable. Note, it made me feel more uncomfortable. The visit itself only took front a front x-ray and I guess it was a faculty member that came in and told me they suggested braces over Invisalign. Then Vladimir started pushing me to make an appointment for records and to choose what I would do so he could draw up a contract. It was really hard for me to understand why that needed to be determined without a proper assessment.
I'd had an assessment done with another ortho when I lived in Nevada 4 years ago and the only reason I didn't move forward then was due to a job loss and the resulting financial stress. Yet, I'm glad I had seen them first, because they gave me an idea of what I needed and why. He had suggested Invisalign because of the fragility of my teeth.
Today when I went in for my "records", Vladimir asked if he had my contract, I said no because I wasn't sure about whether I needed braces or Invisalign. He said he'd have a TA come and talk to me. The TA and I chatted and he was super nice, he agreed with me that it made more sense for the records to be taken and the faculty to assess my case before determining which path to take. He went to tell that to Vladimir who then pitched a hissy fit because he needs that contract first. I could heat him even though the door was closed, you can hear everything.
Then the TA had a faculty member come in and we chatted. I shared with him my concerns and he asked to do a quick look. Once he did, he kindly told me my case is probably too complex for GSO. He recommended Invisalign because of my teeth being fragile and my teeth grinding. He was so kind and I very much appreciated his directness and honesty. I would much rather hear my case is not a good fit than feel like I'm being sold a used car.
So I would give 5 stars to the faculty member and TA I met today and 0 stars and a middle finger to Vladimir. You are a professional, act the part. Hitting on women coming in is not appropriate and then acting like it's to make them comfortable is unacceptable. There are ways to build rapport. Do better.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 150383928Mar 11, 2021
With Covid happening, we have been prolonging braces for over a year now. Well not anymore! I've been searching high and low on the best place for quality and affordability and GSU seems to do the job.
The location is in Dunwoody and right off the highway. Please note: if you are using Waze, it will have you go to the second entrance. Please turn right on the first! The sign isn't noticeable in the dark or when it's raining but turning the first right will save you the hassle. :)
Also, they are only allowing patients in the building u less you are needing to make a payment. I felt it was clean and secure and my daughter had a pleasant experience. They explained everything to me and setting up the patient portal was magnificent.
Definitely recommend this place for orthodontic treatment plans.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Kyle J B.Alpharetta, GA323Oct 13, 2023
Very friendly staff and great hours that fit my schedule. My orthodontists have done quality work so far.

My daughter has been receiving orthodontic care at GSO for over a year now and although I am very pleased with her smile (hence the 3 stars), the customer service there sucks. The front office staff deserves 0 stars and they could truly benefit from extensive customer service training. They do not greet you upon arrival, they act as if you are pestering them whenever you have to interact with them whether it's to pay, schedule/reschedule an appt, or ask a question. They even give subpar service on the phone. Today, my daughter's doctor asked me to step inside for a minute. I did and when I walked in and stepped to the desk BOTH front desks admins looked at me like why are you here and then looked back at their computer. That's rude. There was another lady that walked up and received the same eye roll greeting. This is not the first time this has happened but this is my first review. They either need jobs in back with limited customer interaction or new jobs somewhere else with limited a customer interaction. Again, while I love her smile, I prefer to spend my coins at places that provide both great care and customer service. I would not recommend GSO!

I've been wanting + needing orthodontic treatment for years. This place was recommended to me by a friend. The staff there are incredible! Everything was such a smooth transition. I will definitely be recommending this place to others seeking orthodontic treatment.

I definitely recommend Dr. Ted Markos he is an amazing doctor! He did an awesome job with my smile! Thank you Ted! On the other hand,
I DO NOT recommend Dr.Helia Jafari. Dr.Helia Jafari, as a student of GA school of Orthodontic demonstrated an extremely poor behavior and unprofessionalism by making fun of me as patient and turn around and gossip to her colleague about my attire. As patient, we are helping the doctors at GSO to specialize in the field of orthodontic and in my opinion is real distasteful and unprofessional for her as a public figure doctor to act like a child. I do believe she owes me an apology for laughing to my face! But, today is a great day and I definitely could go on about how awesome Dr. Markos is! I would make sure I write an email to director at GSO!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lyndsey H.Smyrna, GA02Jul 28, 2021

Grossly disgusted by Georgia School of Orthodontics. My son has had their ortho work since January this year. We're always early by 10-15 mins and they take him right in. Somehow there's space to take him in early. Today we drove to our 1pm appt through a weather advisory and hard pouring rain. (We live 1 hour away). My son was at their door at 1:05 (5 mins late). They turned him away. I called to plead with them explaining that they can see that it's pouring raining and we'd come from so far away, through bad weather, and were slowed by accidents. They still gave us a hard no.
You get what you pay for!!!! Honestly they can afford to be careless with their patience because. 1. Once you have ortho work it's difficult to find another Orthodontist who will touch someone else's work. 2. If you want to cancel your agreement their is a $400 fee.
Buyer beware is my advice.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information
