#FeelGoodFriday 🤗 Dr. Alina Usataia and a team of specialists provided essential eye care to the indigent population at the Guerrero Clinic in Chihuahua, Mexico. Over 300 cataract surgeries and nearly 200 glasses were provided. From triage to post-op care, it was an honor to serve alongside volunteers from both the US and Mexico!! 😊 ❗️ FEEL GOOD STORY👉 The Tarahumara Indigenous tribe is known for long distance runs along the Copper Canyon region, wearing huaraches (sandals) made from car tire soles and leather straps. We had the pleasure of meeting a 93-year-old man who walked 4 hours through the mountain terrain to get to a bus stop, where he was picked up and brought to Guerrero clinic. He went from legal blindness to 20/40 vision 1-day after cataract surgery!!!!! 🤯👏😊 We are grateful for the chance to volunteer and provide much-needed eye care to those who need it most, but often lack the resources. A special thank you to everyone who was a part of making this happen! ❤️ https://lnkd.in/gHZaN5cX #woolfsoneye #bettervision #betterlife #volunteering #guerreroclinic #medicalmission #giveback #tarahumaratribe #eyecare #inspiringjourney #dralinausataia #chihuahuamexico
