Event Description:
Robotics Reinvent the World Economy
The Future of Automation
Keynote Speaker
Henrik I Christensen
KUKA Chair of Robotics & Director of Robotics Center at Georgia Tech
American competitiveness in the 21st Century is closely tied to productivity growth and the need to empower workers to achieve new levels of efficiency. Automation is an important piece in the quest for productivity. A promising possibility is the utilization of flexible automation that can be deployed even for very small product series and by people with minimum prior experience in the use of these technologies. In this presentation, Dr. Henrik Christensen, KUKA Chair of Robotics at Georgia Tech, will discuss the Advanced Manufacturing Partnership and the National Robotics Initiative. Both are recently launched efforts to develop and deploy technology to assist manufacturing companies across the United States.
