Event Description:

Harnessing the Power of Culture in Your Organization
Culture is like the nuclear fusion of organizations, everyone knows it is extremely powerful, but leaders are unsure of how to harness this power. Come hear more about how Stone Mountain Park went through a cultural transformation that led to significant improvements in employee and guest satisfaction and hear about how they successfully implemented initiatives that directly connect employee behavior with bottom line contribution. You can go through an intentional and deliberate seven step process to change the culture within your organization and begin the transformation process. As you successfully harness the power of culture within your organization, you can expect to produce higher employee satisfaction, higher customer satisfaction and higher profitability.
Speaker: Michael Dombrowski, Director of Organizational Development, Herschend Family Entertainment
“Turn it around or shut it down” were the directions Michael Dombrowski received soon after he began running the southeast site for a regional bank. The employee turnover rate was extremely high; employee and customer satisfaction were extremely low, and not surprisingly, the site was losing money. After a two-year phase of stabilizing the site, Michael discovered the power of culture and employee engagement as a tool to transform performance. The southeast site was transformed into the most profitable operation in the USA with extremely high customer satisfaction, extremely high employee satisfaction and an extraordinarily low employee turnover rate. After a speaking engagement, Michael met the CEO of Herschend Family Entertainment and was recruited into an entirely different industry and discipline. Michael changed from management to Human Resources and from banking operations to the family entertainment and hospitality industry. The same principles that helped transform the banking operations centers were even more successful in an industry that involved family attractions, food and merchandise operations. Through numerous speaking engagements, Michael Dombrowski has been sharing his approach to using culture to translate employee satisfaction into high profitability and customer satisfaction.
Cost: Free for Human Resource Management Association members; $35 for non-HRMA members. All no-shows will be billed. Walk-ins are not guaranteed a seat.
