The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) is the intergovernmental coordination and planning agency for the 10-county Atlanta area, including Gwinnett. Kick off 2015 by gaining insight from ARC Chairman Kerry Armstrong.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Kerry Armstrong is currently serving a two-year term of office as the Chairman of the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) - the official planning agency for the 10-county metro Atlanta region.

Mr. Armstrong has served on the ARC board since 2008 as a citizen member, representing a district that includes portions of Gwinnett. Prior to being elected chairman, he served on the ARC's Environmental & Land Use, Ethics, Policy, and Executive committees. He was also co-chairman of the Atlanta Regional Workforce Board. He is the second citizen member to serve as ARC chair.

Prior to joining Pope & Land Enterprise as a senior vice president in 2012, Mr. Armstrong held the same position at Duke Realty. He is a member of several key organizations in the commercial real estate industry, including the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, and serves as a board member and past chair of the Council for Quality Growth.

Mr. Armstrong is a longtime resident of Gwinnett County and serves on the board of the Gwinnett Chamber and is a past chairman. Mr. Armstrong also serves on the board of the Gwinnett Medical Center Foundation.
