The Gwinnett County Police Department Crime Prevention Unit's mission is two fold: to promote citizen participation in the reduction and prevention of crime through education and active support as well as to provide educational and safety related programs based on community needs.

Join Officer Aaren Dieffenbacher, Special Operations/Crime Prevention Coordinator of Gwinnett County Police, as he provides insight into the drug scene in Gwinnett County and how it affects your business.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Officer Aaren Dieffenbacher has been with Gwinnett County Police for more than seven years, the majority of those being in the Crime Prevention Unit. Prior, he served in the US Air Force.

The Special Operations Section is a support services section assigned to the Uniform Division and is made up of 11 specialized units under the command of Major J.T. Strickland. Crime Prevention officers that are assigned to individual precincts are primarily responsible for promoting citizen participation in the reduction and prevention of crime through education and active support as well as providing educational and safety-related programs based on various community needs.
