ABOUT THE CHAMBER:

As the state's largest business organization, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce represents investors in every county, with a diverse cross-section of more than 500 industries. A membership base that includes both small storefronts and large corporations, they provide aggressive advocacy, meaningful services and proactive policy.

The Georgia Chamber's number one mission is creating, growing and keeping jobs that make the state a better place for business, by working to ensure economic competitiveness, a commitment to high quality of life and innovative solutions.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
As President & CEO of the Georgia Chamber, Chris Clark keeps the organization focused on its number one priority - ensuring the competitiveness of the businesses and people of our state. Working hand-in-hand with volunteer leaders, who represent companies of all sizes and sectors, he has made the organization an even stronger advocate at the State Capitol and in Washington, DC.

A Georgia native, Clark received his bachelor's degree from Georgia Southern University and his master's degree in public administration from Georgia College and State University. Prior to joining the Chamber, he served as Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and as Deputy Commissioner for the Department of Economic Development.

Clark currently is Chair of the Council of State Chambers' State Chamber Policy Center and sits on various boards, including: the Georgia Academy for Economic Development, the Georgia Department of Economic Development, and the Governor's Rural Development Council, the Technical College System of Georgia and Visitors for the University of Georgia. He is a graduate of Leadership Georgia and has been consistently named one of Georgia Trend magazine's 100 most influential Georgians and by the Atlanta Business Chronicle as one of the 100 most influential Atlantans. Clark is also the recipient of the Georgia Economic Developers Association Zell Miller Public Policy Leadership Award.
