An accomplished leader, Cooper has received many executive honors, including Georgia Trend's 2015 Most Respected Business Leader; one of the Women of the Year 2015 by American Association of University Women; and as one of Georgia Trend's Most Influential Georgians in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. She also received the 2013 Pioneer Award from U.S. Black Engineer & Information Technology.

About the Speaker

In February, Shan Cooper became the chief supply chain and technology officer of WestRock and is responsible for information technology, logistics, procurement and recycling. Prior to joining WestRock, Cooper served as vice president and general manager of Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company. As general manager, she was responsible for the 6,000 employee operations in Marietta, GA.; Meridian, MS.; and Clarksburg, WV.

She serves on the executive boards of the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce and the Metro Atlanta Chamber; is on the Board of Councilors for The Carter Center and the Board of Trustees of both Emory University and the Woodruff Arts Center; and is a member of the Atlanta Rotary Club. Cooper earned a bachelor's degree in biology and religion from Emory University and a master's of business administration from the Roberto Goizueta Business School of Emory University. She is also a graduate of the Rutgers Global Executive Masters in Human Resource Leadership Program.
