Overview

A “must attend” for all individuals involved with policy setting, this seminar discusses how to successfully implement a drug-free workplace policy. It includes understanding the responsibilities of the employers and employee; understanding testing procedures and chain of custody requirements; the importance of maintaining confidentiality; and how Employee Assistance Programs (EAP’s) can benefit your workforce. Certified drug free workplaces in Georgia receive a state mandated 7.5% discount on workers’ compensation insurance premiums. This session will explain the requirements of state certification and much more.

Speaker

Chuck Wade – Executive Director, Council on Alcohol and Drugs

Chuck Wade is a dynamic, nationally recognized speaker on the impact of drugs and how to set up a drug-free workplace. Wade is a former undercover narcotics agent and police officer who is certified to teach drug identification and undercover drug investigation. He has won awards from the DEA and the FBI for outstanding service in the field of law enforcement. Through his training he has been certified to teach drug identification by the Peace Officers’ Standards of Training Council of Georgia, has taught undercover drug investigation classes at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Forsyth, Georgia, and conducted employee drug education and supervisor training classes for businesses throughout Georgia.
