About the Speaker

Kim Guthrie is the President of Cox Media Group (CMG), an integrated broadcasting, publishing and digital media subsidiary of Cox Enterprises, Inc., based in Atlanta, GA.

Prior, she was Executive VP of National Ad Platforms and President of CoxReps and before that was Executive VP of Radio. During her CMG career, she has also held the titles of Senior VP and Group VP for CMG. Guthrie first joined Cox nearly 20 years ago as VP/General Manager for its Long Island, New York cluster of radio stations.

Guthrie serves on the executive board of directors for the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), the Television Advertising Bureau (TVB) and she previously served on the Executive Board for the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB). She is also on the board of directors for the Broadcasters Foundation of America and the Metropolitan College of New York. She is a multi-year honoree as Radio Ink magazine’s “Most Powerful People in Radio” and “Most Influential Women in Radio.” She also was named “Woman of Distinction” by the March of Dimes and “Humanitarian of the Year” by the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

She began her career as a journalist and spent several years as a television news anchor/reporter and holds a degree in journalism from Iowa State University.
