Join us and hear from new Georgia Gwinnett College President, Dr. Stanley “Stas” Preczewski, as he presents “Educating the Workforce.”

Dr. Stas Preczewski earned his B.S. in engineering at Cornell University while concurrently obtaining his Army officer commission. Preczewski’s additional degrees include an M.S. in engineering from the University of Massachusetts, an M.A. in National Security Strategy and Planning from the United States Naval War College, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education from the University of Missouri.

Preczewski served as the Vice Dean for Resources (CFO) at West Point and successfully commanded two artillery units with the 1st and 2nd Infantry Divisions. He has been awarded the Air Assault Wings, Legion of Merit, and the Meritorious Service Medal.

After his retirement as a colonel in 2006, he began his civilian career as the charter Vice President for Academic & Student Affairs at Georgia Gwinnett College. Preczewski has served as the interim president at both Georgia College & State University and Georgia Gwinnett College and was recently appointed President of Georgia Gwinnett College by the University System of Georgia. He and his wife Jean reside in Buford and have three children, each of whom have served or are serving in the rank of captain in the U.S. Army.
